Andy's been reviewing movies ad-hoc for a number of years, bound up in a murky history of film and media studies. Discovering his love of movies quite late in life (at the age of 16!), Andy quickly made up for lost time by watching a prodigious number of films in his college and university years, including classic movies, b-movies, avant-garde, performance art, any genre you can imagine (and also a lot of obscure crap, to be fair!).
He first discovered The Movie Compound in April 2004. Unlike the rest of the MC staff, Andy was not involved in the legacy of the Reel Critics and FilmHobbit, but found a warm welcome and a sympathetic outlet for his irreverent ramblings in the Movie Compound.
Andy is currently training to be a lifeguard, and when he's not in the gym or swimming, he can be found in the cinema (of course!), his second home! |
